Hooray – someone is reading this!

kikulu is an online store selling handmade jewellery and accessories. At present (2019) all handmade items are made by Lou McGill. We do not source any new items from elsewhere.  Some components are sourced elsewhere (such as jewellery findings, glass cabochons, Japanese paper).  Some of the items for sale are upcycled from old/found materials.  We care about the environment and your safety so we always try to make sure that materials used do not harm the environment or you. Our resin jewellery is made from non-toxic environmentally friendly resin.

kikulu also sells vintage costume jewellery. We make every effort to ensure that items are genuine and will provide detailed descriptions if items do not have a jewellers mark.

These terms and conditions affect reflect our commitment to providing an excellent service and to ensure that your transactions with us go smoothly.

When placing an order with kikulu, you undertake that all details you provide are true and accurate and that you are an authorised user of the credit or debit card used to place your order via paypal.

kikulu must receive full payment of all goods ordered in advance. Once payment has been received by us and your order has been accepted, items will be dispatched according to our standard procedure.

Pricing and Availability

We always make every effort to provide detailed and accurate descriptions and take extra effort to provide as many photos as possible. However we are human and errors may occur. If you order an item which is out of stock a full refund shall be given. Some delivery costs may be charged (depending on where you live). These charges are clearly displayed in your checkout cart and are included in the ‘Total Cost’ of your order.

Product Condition

All items listed on the kikulu website have been checked for quality. We will inform you if there are any missing stones or defects and prices will reflect these.

Vintage items are not brand new and will show signs of wear, use and love. Handmade items are unique and are rarely perfect. We do not aim to provide items that are factory produced – the whole point of the products we offer is that they offer you an opportunity to stand out from the crowd by wearing jewellery of character.

As we pack and dispatch items we double check the quality and make sure our packaging retains that quality.

Sizing

Photos of items are taken very close up so that you can see the detail. This can make some items appear larger than they are. We make every effort to provide some photos that show the scale and display the items in relation to each other in some of our blog posts.

Please refer to measurements within the description for a size guide. It is your responsibility to consider the size before purchase.

Colours

Sometimes it is difficult to show the true beauty of jewellery in photos and actual colours and sizes may differ slightly in reality from the way your screen shows the colours. We always describe the colours of every item. We cannot guarantee that your screen’s display of any colour will be accurate.
