Fantastic Scandinavian vintage demi parure dating from the 1960s. This Rolf and Soleig Haukaas enamel copper pendant and earrings set from Norway feature an organic retro design in rectangular shapes. The pendant and earrings both feature partial red circles with a gold outline on a blue background. It is a very 1960s design. Like all of their work it has an incredible shine due to the guilloche technique that they use. The guilloche technique involves etching the copper surface before enameling which gives their work a lovely depth. The back of the pendant and earrings have the makers mark which is a backward S and R as well as the words HÅNDARBEID BALESTRAND NORGE. The pendant chain is a light copper chain measuring 47cm and has a strong spring ring clasp. The necklace hangs nicely around the neckline. The earrings have 925 stamped sterling silver earwires.
There is a tradition of excellent Modernist design work in enameled jewellery from Norway and Scandinavia.
The pendant and chain weighs 11 grams. The pendant measures 3 by 1.6 cm. the earrings weigh 3 grams each. The rectangles measure 3.7 x 1.2 cm. The length from the top of the earwire to the bottom of the earrings is 4cm. Presented in a beautiful satin drawstring bag.
