Beautiful vintage necklace from the 1930s. This filigree edelweiss and turquoise glass necklace is very delicate and probably comes from Austria or Germany. The necklace features a silver tone chain with strong spring ring clasp and has a bib made up of 7 segments. The two segments linked to the chain are teardrop shaped filigree elements with a small claw set Czech turquoise glass cabochon. The remaining 5 links are square filigree elements. Two of these have a larger claw set Czech turquoise glass cabochon and three have a metal edelweiss stamped flower.
The overall effect is very light and dainty as the filigree work is very fine. The necklace is in very good vintage condition with some tarnish to the back of the necklace. The front has age darkened metal which emphasises the shiny edelweiss flowers and gorgeous Czech glass. It hangs around the neckline really nicely. See the photos of our model Eve to see what we mean.
The necklace is light and weighs just 13 grams. It measures 40 cm. Presented in a beautiful satin drawstring bag.
