Beautiful 1960s Satin Petals brooch by Sarah Coventry. Really well-made daisy flower with a bottom layer of shiny gold tone petals and an upper layer of brushed gold-tone petals with a raised bumpy central circle representing the yellow part.
Measures 5.5 cm diameter. This is quite a large brooch which fastens with a secure rollover safety clasp. It feels sturdy and fairly substantial.
I would describe it as in very good condition. It is signed on the back with the word Canada which is where a lot of Sarah Coventry jewellery was made. This is a really shiny reflective piece and would look great for casual or more formal wear. Sarah Coventry jewellery is recognised as high quality and is very collectable. This piece is not particularly rare.

Despite the ‘designer’ name Sarah Coventry vintage costume jewellery is not made by one designer. Sarah Coventry was the name of a company based in the US (1949 – 1980s) who had emigrated from Coventry in England, UK. They employed different designers to produce their jewellery. They adopted a method similar to Avon in that they used house parties to sell their ranges “for the woman who dares to be different.”
