Beautiful vintage clip-on earrings. These pink enamel and rhinestone filigree earrings match a brooch we had (now sold). The earrings feature a goldtone filigree base with millegrain outlines on the front and back of the earrings with a flower with a claw set pink rhinestone, two smaller red rhinestones and a smaller flower with one aurora borealis (AB) rhinestone. There are two beautiful pink cold paint enamel leaves.
All of these features appear to make the piece feel quite old. However, it also features some small white aurora borealis stones which tell means that this was produced in the late 50s or 60s (aurora lustre coating was invented in 1957). Looks like European cut glass which sparkles wonderfully.
Probably made in the late 1950s or 1960s
The back of the earrings feature solid clip-on fixtures. The filigree metal on the back is a bit discoloured but the front is fine. These are in very good vintage condition. They are fairly comforrable to wear but the addition of rubber pads can make old clip-ons a bit more comfortable..
Each earring weighs only 4 grams and measures 2.1 cm x 2 cm.
Presented in an organza drawstring bag.
