Just look at this fantastic opaline moonstone glass necklace. In very good condition and so delicate with 11 oval art glass cabochons (designed to look like opals or moonstones) which have blue, pink and pearly tones depending on where you view them from. Each of these cabochons is separated by gold tone metal crosses with a tiny prong set aurora borealis stone. It is just gorgeous. It has a hook fastener and large chain links which allow you to choose a length that suits you or what you are wearing.
The necklace is unsigned but has one of the well recognised Jewelcraft tags. The back looks and feels like a Jewelcraft piece and shows very mild wear where the sections hinge together. The front shows no signs of wear. This necklace was probably produced in the late 50s (aurora borealis stones were developed after 1957) or the 1960s.
This would be a lovely wedding necklace.
