I love these playful vintage earrings – I’m a bit of a fan of old Hong Kong jewellery so do try to collect a few pieces. The great thing about these Hong Kong crescent earrings is that they are simple, quirky and fun – but they look fabulous on. Each clip on earring has a gold tone crescent with small holes designed to have seed or micro beads sewn on. They are definitely hand made and the iridescent blue and purple beads look lovely as they change colour depending on how the light hits them. They are simple but look gorgeous as each hole has a filigree flower cup filled with two beads. Disarmingly lovely.
The back of the earrings are gold tone metal. The clips are strong and one of then is signed HONG KONG. They are in very good vintage condition – probably dating from the 1950s or 60s.
Each earring weighs only 3 grams and measures 2.6 cm x 1.5 at its widest. Presented in an organza drawstring bag.
