Small silver kiku stud earrings set in stainless steel backs (hypoallergenic). Round cabochon measuring 10mm diameter.
Kiku means chrysanthemum in Japanese. This beautiful washi paper features silver outlines of chrysanthemums on a plain black backgound. The pattern matches the silver metal setting perfectly. There is a matching pendant and brooch pin in this pattern.
Unique, handmade item using genuine Japanese washi paper which is traditionally made by hand from fibers from the inner bark of the gampi tree, the mitsumata shrub (Edgeworthia chrysantha), or the paper mulberry (kōzo) bush. The paper is covered with a glass cabochon which magnifies and protects the paper.
