Kiku means chrysanthemum in Japanese. This beautiful washi paper features silver outlines of chrysanthemums on a plain black backgound. The pattern matches the silver metal setting perfectly. There are matching earrings and brooch pins in this pattern.
Unique, handmade item using genuine Japanese washi paper which is traditionally made by hand from fibers from the inner bark of the gampi tree, the mitsumata shrub (Edgeworthia chrysantha), or the paper mulberry (kōzo) bush. The paper is covered with a glass cabochon which magnifies and protects the paper.
