Orange fused glass circle earrings

Beautiful orange fused glass circle earrings with sterling silver hook ear wires. These earrings feature lovely Turkish handmade silver plated brass circular bezels which have a matte and slightly antique look. These earrings have been handmade using fused glass cabochons. Fused glass is made by fusing different glass at high temperatures in a kiln. This glass has black backed orange dichroic glass fused with clear glass to create the domed effect. The glass used in these handmade earrings look deep orange from one side and more citrous lemony orange from the other side. They work perfectly with the pale silver colour. They are new – not vintage.

They look perfect with formal and informal wear – day or night.

Each earring weighs 4g and diameter measures 2.3 cm, from top of wire just under 5 cm.

What is dichroic glass?

Dichroic glass has layers of metal oxides in layers resulting in glass appearing to have different colours when viewed from either side. It can result in stunning effects and has been widely used for jewellery. For this reason there are more than usual photos for our glass jewellery to try to capture that effect.
